History and overview of Atami Marine Fireworks Festival
History and overview
The Atami Marine Fireworks Festival is a historical fireworks display that began in 1952. It is a famous fireworks display in Atami, held more than 15 times not only in summer but also throughout the year. The venue, Atami Bay, is surrounded by mountains on three sides and has a "mortar" shaped topography, which reverberates the sound of fireworks over the sea, creating an acoustic effect similar to that of a large stadium. The beauty of the fireworks in the night sky, the reflections on the water, and the finale, "Niagara in the sky," will make you forget how to blink! The Atami Marine Fireworks Festival is a unique event that will create memories that will stay in your heart forever.

Operation and Safety Management
Headquartered in Fujieda City, Ikebun is a fireworks manufacturing company with over 100 years of history.
Top left photo: The items are prepared in advance in steel frames and brought in by truck on the day of the fireworks display, thus helping to reduce preparation time and prevent hazards.
Top right photo: The fireworks container is covered with an original sheet of specially processed "flame-proof paper". In addition to its flame retardant performance, it also has a waterproof effect, so it can be launched even if it rains a little on the day of the fireworks display.
Photo (bottom): To ensure the safety of the Atami Marine Fireworks Festival, electric ignition is used, which can instantly stop the launching of fireworks from a distance away from the smoke storage area.
